Together for the Future of Youth: A Collaboration Creating New Opportunities

As part of the GO GREEN project, the Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia established a collaboration with the Employment Service of Slovenia – Kamnik Local Office, with a clear goal, to introduce young job seekers to the opportunities offered by the project. The event organized, on 17th April, brought together young people from the municipalities of Kamnik and Lukovica, opening the door to new development pathways.

Participants aged 18 to 29 were introduced to the GO GREEN project, which focuses on green entrepreneurship and the development of social skills — competencies that are becoming increasingly essential in today’s rapidly changing economy. Many young people face a lack of practical knowledge and experience when entering the labour market, which is why the project emphasizes interactive and innovative learning approaches.

A key highlight of the presentation was the opportunity to participate in international hackathons. Two events are planned: the first in Hungary in June and the second in Bulgaria in October. All travel and training costs will be fully covered for selected participants, ensuring accessibility and encouraging active participation.

The GO GREEN project is looking for motivated young individuals who are willing to step out of their comfort zones, explore new environments, and take on fresh challenges. Such experiences play a crucial role in personal growth and in developing the skills needed for both professional and everyday life.

Through initiatives like this, we aim to strengthen a supportive environment for young people, empowering them to reach their full potential and actively contribute to a more sustainable future.
