About this module

Every day we make decisions that affect the environment – what we buy, how we travel, which brands we support. In this module you will learn to question what you see, read and hear about “green” products and services. You will explore the difference between genuine sustainability and simple marketing, and practise tools that help you make better, fairer and greener decisions.

What you will learn

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • Formulate critical questions about “green” campaigns and possible greenwashing.
  • Use pros and cons lists and a simple decision matrix to compare sustainable business options.
  • Translate your reflections into practical tips for other young people.

What you will do in this activity

In this activity you will:

  • Select one or more “green” advertisements or products and analyse them through guiding questions.
  • Build a decision matrix to compare at least two eco-business ideas or sustainable choices.
  • Develop and share your “Top 5 tips for greener decision making” for your peers on YoungGreenHub.
